As an innovative medium-sized company, Novis develops and builds customized process engineering plants in the field of biotechnology. One focus is on biogas plants for substrates that are sometimes difficult or unusual to ferment. In addition, the company is involved in the utilization and upgrading of various residual materials, as well as the development of innovative bio-based products.
In the area of development and validation of new processes and procedures, especially for algae reactors, Novis is therefore looking for an employee with a background as a bioprocess engineer. The position consists of planning, construction and project management tasks.

These are your tasks:

• Preparation of feasibility studies
• Process development of novel biotechnological processes
• Preparation of technological specifications and tender documents / service specifications
• Project management (cost accounting, time planning, report preparation)
• Development of test and validation methods for biotechnological processes
• Construction of pilot plants in the company's own laboratory
• Operation and support of pilot plants in the company's own laboratory
• Presentation and documentation of the results of the tests carried out
• Research of existing processes and market analysis
• Collaboration and support of other business units if necessary

What you need:

• A degree/university of applied sciences degree in biotechnology, process or environmental engineering or other related engineering sciences or equivalent training
• Experience in the field of algae cultivation desirable
• Very good MS Office skills
• Independence, ability to work in a team, initiative and a high level of commitment
• Very good knowledge of English, other foreign languages an advantage
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics and to support the management in this regard
