NOVIS is looking for a flexible technical assistant to maintain and operate photobioreactors for the cultivation of cyanobacteria.
Job description:
- Cultivation of cyanobacteria from laboratory to pre-industrial scale (up to 1000L)
- Cleaning, preparation, and maintenance of the photobioreactors developed in-house
- Independent preparation of culture media, starter cultures, and external equipment according to the specifications of the scientific management
- Supporting the scientific team in laboratory activities
Your profile:
- Training as, for example, a biological technical assistant or a completed degree in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, or a comparable background (Bachelor's/Master's)
- Manual skills in metalworking are a great advantage
- Willingness to improvise and actively participate in the development/improvement of our systems
- Conscientious, independent work
- Ability to work in a team and open communication skills
- Good written and spoken English skills are required
- Knowledge of German is advantageous but not mandatory
